Hello! I'm so glad you're here

I’m Nicole—founder, owner, designer, and the creative heart behind Jax & Jay.

I’m a wife and mom to two energetic boys, and for the past 12 years, I’ve been navigating life with my family while pursuing my passion for creativity. With a background as a qualified beauty therapist and former lecturer, I spent a decade in the beauty industry, specialising in gel nails and nail art—always with a love for making people feel confident and inspired.

In 2021, I followed my passion for art and design and launched Jax & Jay, starting with Christmas ornaments. Before long, I found myself drawn to the wedding industry—and fell in love with creating custom signage and stationery.

Today, I focus on crafting timeless, meaningful pieces that reflect each couple’s unique story. Whether you’re planning a small gathering or a grand celebration, I’d love to help you bring your vision to life, one beautiful detail at a time.

Process

1. Contact Me

Start by filling out the enquiry form, this will give us all the important details, helping us get an idea of what you are needing.

2. Consultation

Once we have reviewed your enquiry you will receive a questionnaire to complete for us to gather all your details and understand your vision and requirements. We will then be in touch to set up a consultation , we can do this either face to face (if you are based in East London), over a voice or video call. During this consulation we’ll answer any questions, and gather all the necessary information to create an accurate and detailed invoice for you.

3. Contract

After our call, we will work on your invoice and you’ll receive this with the booking contract. If you are happy to proceed, you will have 7 days to sign the contract and make a R1500 non-refundable retainer to secure your date.

If you have not yet decided what you want, but would like to secure your wedding date with us then we can start with a booking contract and your retainer. Once you know what you want we can then generate your invoice.

4. Design Process

Once we start the design process, this is usually 2-3 months before your big day, we’ll be in touch to make sure there are no major changes. We will then start working on your designs. At this point, a second payment of 50% of the remaining invoice is due.

5. Final Details

One month before your wedding, we will discuss all the final detail, guest count etc and and the remainder of your final invoice us is due .

 

6. Wedding Week

We will complete your items and make arrangements for collectioin, either by you or your planner. Unless you have opted for us to drop off your items.

If your wedding is out of town or items require couriering, we will discuss with you on which date you would like items to be ready and sent.
